IMC FUND PARTICIPATION IN CONFERENCES AND EVENTS

Indigenous Voices Amplified

As part of our core work, we seek to amplify Indigenous voices and participation in key international events. It is essential that our team and biocultural partners are involved in conversations about their territories and cultures, and important that we are present in negotiations, conferences and other spaces where there are participatory and educational opportunities.

Upcoming Events

In 2025, we will be sending Indigenous delegations to several events.

Indigenous Medicine Fund Cultural Conservation Assembly (March 13-17, 2025 - closed to public)
Hebbronville, Texas, USA

Our Conservation Committee members, staff, and biocultural partners will gather over 4-days for in-person strategy sessions. This important gathering is the first time our volunteer members and partners will all be in person together and is an important step toward elevating the success of the IMC Fund and ensuring a thriving future for Indigenous peoples, their medicines and knowledges.

MAPS Psychedelic Science 2025 (June 16-20, 2025)
Denver, Colorado, USA

The IMC Fund is curating two full days of Indigenous-led programming to contribute to the conversation and examine the intersections of Indigenous medicine and the psychedelic movement. This is a key audience for our work, as we see the possibility for the psychedelic industry to respond to Indigenous wishes and co-create a movement that is respectful in nature — and not replicate other extractivist, colonial paradigms.
